Data Center Shell – “Building G” (Confidential)

Location: Sparks, NV

Contractor: The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company

Trades: Electrical

Value: $8.1 M

M3 is performing the electrical scope for a 437,001 data center shell building within a larger campus development, with all buildings progressing concurrently. This approach requires a high level of coordination and consistency to deliver reliable power and life safety infrastructure across the site in parallel.

The scope includes installation of core power distribution systems, supported by underground infrastructure from utility vaults to the building. Temporary power was implemented to maintain construction progress and support ongoing work across multiple active buildings.

Lighting, controls, and low-voltage pathways are integrated throughout the facility, establishing a flexible foundation for future tenant systems. M3 is also providing a design-build fire alarm system, ensuring full coordination with overall life safety requirements.

A semi-concealed lightning protection system with grounding is included to protect critical infrastructure and support long-term performance in a data center environment.

Execution is driven by a strong focus on coordination and resource alignment, allowing work to progress efficiently alongside parallel construction activities across the campus.
