John Cassidy, chief financial officer, says, “I am so thankful for the privilege of working with Tim over the last 10 years. Tim truly lives out each of the Mark III core values. The one core value that stands out lately is “Teamwork”. Tim cares about his Accounting and IT teams, but he’s also interested in growing and encouraging the whole Mark III team by teaching Excel classes, playing Santa at the Christmas party, working out with fellow employees in bootcamp classes, and encouraging others through his daily humor. Interview
What is your favorite Mark III core value (teamwork, innovation, integrity, work-hard-play-hard, transparency) and how does it play a part in your everyday role & responsibilities?
My favorite core value is work-hard-play-hard. The word passion comes to my mind when I think of it. To me it’s important to be passionate about whatever you do in life. Putting your best into whatever you’re doing makes life fulfilling.
How do our core values play into your everyday role/responsibilities?
As the leader of a team, I need to be an example of integrity and foster teamwork. Transparency and innovation help earn the trust and confidence of those we serve. And I believe that by working hard and playing hard we bring a positive energy into the workplace that can be contagious.
How has Mark III helped you in your career development?
I have had many opportunities to try new things here are Mark III. I love being given challenges and working to solve problems.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I like to run and climb mountains. I spend a lot of time with my family and I actively serve in my church.
Favorite book, movie, music?
Favorite book is Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. Favorite movie is Inception. I like a lot of different kinds of music, but my favorite band is Fall Out Boy.
