Mark III’s scope of work included mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and underground for this 5,000 square-foot virtual kitchen, located steps away from the Sacramento State campus. Working closely with the developer to ensure the best value and condensed schedule, Mark III proposed a manufactured approach to the kitchen pods. The wall panels and kitchen pods were produced in Mark III’s Manufacturing Facility, including steel stud framing, in-wall mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Each volumetric kitchen pod was also complete with drywall FRP, ANSUL hood systems, LED lighting, fire alarm systems, and doors for a fully finished interior. While the pods were being manufactured in Mark III’s manufacturing facility, the onsite construction crew proceeded with demolition of the existing tenant improvements, installation of in-slab plumbing, and grease interceptor. The electrical systems included a new 1200 amp service, upgraded gas services, fire alarm system, LED lighting system, and high-efficiency mechanical systems. A new staircase for the mezzanine, (1) new 306 square-foot walk-in cooler, and (1) new 150 square-foot walk-in freezer were also built out before the installation of our manufactured interior wall panels. The exterior renovation includes ADA compliant upgrades, utility upgrades, asphalt, stucco, storefronts, HM doors, roll-up door and paint to complete the new modern look.
