This design-build project for Draxlmaier included HVAC, plumbing, and process piping scopes. This plant is located in Livermore, where the company completes injection modeling for the automotive industry. Mark III’s scope included the installation of utilities to (6) injection molding machines, including compressed air piping, a new air compressor, plumbing piping, and exhaust ducts. The majority of the project included cooling water for the injection molding machines. Mark III’s mechanical team installed 8″ cooling water from the Frigel chiller equipment room. The chiller equipment room consisted of an Ecodry 3DK Adiabatic Fluid Cooler, Aquagel process pump station, Chem-Aqua water softener, and RO system. Mark III also handled the demolition and reconfiguration of several existing infrared tube heaters. Despite major COVID related road blocks, the project completed on time and without interruption.
