The Valley Natural Beverages project, led by Big-D Construction, was honored with an ENR Award of Merit. This recognition celebrates excellence in project delivery and the collaborative effort that brought this large-scale facility to life. As a proud partner on the project, M3 contributed fully coordinated and prefabricated systems that supported schedule certainty, cost control, and efficient installation. We are honored to have partnered with Big-D on this award-winning project.
M3 MEP’s scope of work for the California Dairies Valley Natural Beverages Project included mechanical piping, plumbing, and HVAC. This was a new dairy/processing facility located in Bakersfield, California. The project started with the underground portion, which consisted of 6,335 LF of Orion fused pipe up to 14”. M3’s underground crew and plumbing/piping crew worked together to complete this phase of the project.
M3 was then awarded the second phase of this project: the above-ground portion, which became the largest mechanical job in company history. The HVAC portion of the project included the installation of (5) air handlers, (25) rooftop units, (30) exhaust fans, and many smaller units throughout the buildings. The plumbing/piping team installed various types of equipment in the mechanical room and other areas of the facility, including boilers, air compressors, economizers, pumps, and closed-circuit coolers. The plumbing team also installed all finishes, fixtures, and approximately 44,000 LF of pipe throughout the facility.
This was a fully BIM-coordinated project. All piping and ductwork went through the M3’s MEP manufacturing facility. The manufacturing team worked tirelessly, putting in countless hours, overtime, and even weekends to provide the field team with high-quality products for installation.
