Mark III Named Best Place to Work Four Years Running

Each year, the Sacramento Business Journal teams up with Quantum Workplace to conduct their annual Best Places to Work survey. Companies across the region elect to anonymously poll their employees to determine which companies in the Greater Sacramento Area are the “Best Places to Work.” To learn more about the application process, read the article here.

For the fourth year running, Mark III has been awarded Best Place to Work for the large company category. To learn more about Mark III and why we are the Best Place to Work, read the interview below:

Why would someone want to work at your company?

“Our talent development team offers individualized career planning and facilitates training classes to support career growth. To encourage cohesion between teams, we offer daily boot camp classes in our on-site private gym, family picnics, Sacramento Kings games, food-truck parties to celebrate wins, a Mark III apparel store, fitness/office competitions, and our own Marktoberfest.”

How do you know if someone is the right fit for the company?

“Mark III has developed a Culture Club to shift the focus during interview assessments to encompass Mark III’s core values as much as technical skill. By hiring teammates who fit our culture, we build a team of complex problem-solvers that represent our core values: teamwork, innovation, integrity, transparency, and work-hard-play-hard.”

What is the biggest asset or perk you offer employees?

“Our focus on employee wellness is the biggest asset we offer. We host boot camp classes every day, facilitated in our on-site private gym by local gym Fitness Rangers. These classes are offered in addition to standing desks, morning “stretch and flex” routines, nutrition classes, and unlimited access to our headquarters’ gym.”

What is your company’s toughest challenge and how do you overcome it?

“Recruiting talent. Our talent team overcomes this by offering training opportunities and resources, career planning, and certifications for our fabrication and field teams. We also facilitate educational seminars at regional trade and high schools to discuss career avenues and possibilities within our industry.”
