Mark III performed the MEP scope for (12) exam rooms and (6) treatment rooms at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital (BCHO) in Walnut Creek. The UCSF BCHO campus provides convenient and child-friendly care for its patients. The hospital has multiple specialty clinics ranging from cardiology and dermatology to a sleep lab and sports medicine center – as well as a hearing center, an infusion center, diagnostic imaging, and outpatient surgery.

The mechanical scope included the install of an RTU, (2) Ductless split systems, (19) air terminal units, (2) louvers, and (3) exhaust fans for a complete air distribution system. The plumbing scope included the install of medical oxygen and medical vacuum lines, (6) medical vacuums, (8) water closets, (6) urinals, (7) lavatories, (28) sinks (2 with emergency eyewash), a water cooler, mop sink, and a roof hydrant.

The electrical scope consisted of high and low voltage integrated systems. Low voltage included the supply of all new data infrastructure, installation of a paging system for exam and treatment rooms, and a full fire alarm upgrade. The high voltage system consisted of a full lighting package with Title 24 compliance, including emergency circuits and generator, new 100A 300A panels, and an additional emergency 100A panel to power new receptacles, lighting, and workstations.
