Interview
What is your favorite Mark III core value (teamwork, innovation, integrity, work-hard-play-hard, transparency) and how does it play a part in your everyday role & responsibilities?
My favorite core value has to be work-hard play-hard, anyone who has worked with me knows this. I give 100% all the time whether it’s jumping in the trenches, hanging pipe, or cleaning up the job site. I believe that a solid work ethic is key in life.
How do our core values play into your everyday role & responsibilities?
I practice the five core values daily while I’m on and off the job site. They help me hold myself to a higher standard when working with coworkers, other contractors, and situations in my daily life.
How has Mark III helped you in your career development?
I got hired at Mark III with no construction experience, prior to joining the team I was a manager at a Five Guys. Mark III has taught me from the ground up, now I’m going to school to become a journeyman and I’m top three in my class.
What is your proudest moment at Mark III?
My proudest moment at Mark III is when I drive past a project I have worked on and see it up and running. I think its awesome to watch the project progress and know I am a part of it.
What do you do outside of work?
I like to fish, hike, take random drives to places I’ve never been and try new restaurants. Recently, we welcomed our new daughter Aubrey and I enjoy spending time with her and living the dad life.
Do you have a favorite book, movie, or music genre?
My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. My favorite movies are Smokey and the Bandit, My Cousin Vinny, and Groundhog Day. I love all kinds of music: blues, bluegrass, motown, and metal.
