It’s that time of year again! The 2020 Unified Wine & Grape Symposium is right around the corner. Whether you’re planning to extend your trip or stay just long enough to enjoy the Capital City and symposium, we’ve compiled a list of things for you to do during your visit!

Happy Hour, Wine & Eateries

Ella

Ella is a Sacramento favorite. Just blocks away from the Golden 1 Center, this farm-to-fork destination is the perfect place to enjoy a fancy happy hour or a hand-crafted cocktail before a night on the town.

PRO TIP: They have Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Echo & Rig

This American steakhouse is located right in the heart of DOCO, making it a Sacramento hot spot. If you plan to stay the weekend, they serve an excellent brunch until 3:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Complete your brunch with $16 bottomless mimosas or $22 bottomless bloodys!

The Rind

Another farm-to-fork destination, this casual wine bar is the perfect place to continue the “wine vibe.” Stop by on Wednesday night for a free cheese board with a $30 or more wine bottle purchase!

58 Degrees & Holding

This popular wine bar and restaurant hosts a versatile atmosphere, come here for a delicious dinner and lively happy hour. Pair one of their exceptional wines from around the world with mouthwatering oysters, black cod, and more.

 

Events & Activities

Flatstick Pub

There are only two rules at Flatstick Pub: drink local and have fun. Brand new to the heart of downtown Sacramento(or DOCO), this is the place to grab a craft beer while enjoying a round of mini golf.

Kings Game

Start the week off with a night at the Golden 1 Center! The Sacramento Kings will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday, February 3rd at 7:00 PM. Get your tickets here. Go Kings!

Tiger

K Street is a must when it comes to nightlife in Sacramento. Tiger is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail before (or after) the Kings game in a hip and unique atmosphere.

If you’re in the mood to get dressed up and dance, the Mix is your place! Or, if you’ll be in town for the Super Bowl (Sunday, February 2nd), the Mix is hosting an all-you-can-eat taco and nacho bar on their rooftop lounge. Free admission!

The Bank

A historical Sacramento bank transformed into an elegant lounge, The Bank is a favorite for Sacramento locals. The Bank hosts 5 kitchens for a cultural variety of foods, 68 self-pour taps in the bank’s vault, and 2 full bars.

 

Make it a Long Weekend

Sacramento is conveniently located just 2 hours away from this winter wonderland. Spend the day skiing at Heavenly or hit Harrah’s Lake Tahoe for some gambling. Make sure to stop by Beacon Bar & Grill for one of their famous Rum Runners while you’re there!
