NUSD – Paso Verde Elementary School (“STW”)

Mark III’s scope for Paso Verde Elementary School included the installation of several mechanical systems for multiple classrooms, kitchen, a multipurpose and administration building. Virtual construction modeled the mechanical systems for (32) classrooms and ENGworks BIM coordinated the multipurpose and administrative rooms. These models were sent to our MEP manufacturing facility for fabrication. All major deadlines were met and systems commissioned on time, ensuring the project was complete in time for students to return to the classroom. Additionally, Mark III met the Skilled & Trained Workforce (“STW”) requirements for this project.

The HVAC scope included installations for (4) classroom buildings, including (32) carrier split systems, (4) 6-ton carrier package units, (2) exhaust fans, (4) Daikin mini-splits, in addition to all associated ducting, BMS system, insulation, and seismic restraints. The multipurpose building included (6) carrier package units ranging from 5 to 25 tons, a make up air unit, kitchen hood/exhaust with associated grease duct, (3) Daikin mini-splits, (4) exhaust fans, and (1) reznor heater plus all associated standard and exposed duct for the gymnasium. The administration building included (14) carrier packages ranging from 3 to 10 tons, (3) ducted mini-splits, (3) Greenheck exhaust fans, and a single Daikin ductless mini-split.
